1. Who we are
Joe is provided by Day Won, LLC (“Day Won,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Joe iPhone app and the website at joealarm.app.
2. The short version
Joe does not require a Joe account. We do not use advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, or third-party crash reporting. Alarm settings and wake-up routine items are stored locally on your device.
3. Information stored on your device
Joe stores the information needed to operate the app on your iPhone, including alarm times, repeat days, selected tones, volume choices, routine items, optional routine times, and app preferences. We do not receive this information on a Day Won server.
You can edit or delete this information in the app. Removing the app may also remove locally stored Joe data, subject to how iOS manages app data and device backups.
4. Calendar access
If you grant calendar permission, Joe can read relevant calendar events through Apple's iOS calendar framework to prepare your Daily Briefing. Events are read on your device; a destination may also be sent to Apple Maps for commute guidance, as described below. Joe does not save your calendar to a Day Won server or sell it to anyone.
Calendar access is optional and can be changed at any time in iOS Settings. Some briefing features will not work if access is disabled.
5. Weather and commute information
If you use weather or commute features and grant the permissions iOS requests, Joe may use your approximate or precise location to request local weather or estimated travel time through Apple services. Joe may send a destination from a calendar event you authorize it to read to Apple Maps to find the location and estimate driving time. Day Won does not retain your location history, calendar destinations, or travel history on its servers or use them for advertising or tracking.
6. Notifications and alarms
Joe uses Apple's AlarmKit on iOS 26 or later to schedule alarms and snoozes. Alarm access and system delivery are controlled by iOS and can be changed in Settings. Optional times on routine items are used in the Daily Briefing; they do not schedule separate reminders.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases, free trials, and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and your Apple ID. Day Won does not receive your complete payment-card details. Apple may provide purchase status and transaction information needed to unlock Joe Plus and manage your entitlement. Apple handles that information under its own privacy terms.
8. Website data
The Joe website does not use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or account forms. Like most websites, the hosting provider may process limited technical information—such as an IP address, browser type, and request time—to securely deliver the site and prevent abuse.
9. Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for targeted advertising. Information may be processed by Apple, the website hosting provider, or our email providers only as needed to supply the services described above, comply with law, protect safety and rights, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
10. Children and families
Joe does not require an age declaration or create user profiles. The app is intended for a general audience. Parents and guardians should manage device permissions and App Store purchases for children through Apple's family and device controls.
11. Your choices
You can control calendar, location, alarm, and notification permissions in iOS Settings; edit or delete alarms and routine items in Joe; manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; and delete the app from your device. Because Joe does not operate user accounts or collect analytics, we generally do not hold a separate profile to access or delete.
12. Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information we process. No system can guarantee absolute security. Device data remains subject to your iPhone's security, backup, and retention settings. Service providers retain limited technical records according to their policies and legal obligations.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Joe changes or legal requirements evolve. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. Our email providers process these communications so we can receive and respond to your questions or privacy requests. Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your request. This correspondence is separate from the information Joe keeps on your device.
